I got to know about Excel Career Services through a friend who used their services to get a job in the industry. My initial conversation with their career coach, made me realize this is the right place for me to learn about transitioning into industry. I was given a detailed account of all the courses offered at Excel Career Services and I chose an advanced clinical science course based on my interest in becoming a clinical scientist.
Training curriculum at Excel Career Services was very meticulously planned, and brainstorming sessions provoked our thought process to review the clinical data critically and understand different aspects of clinical research in the industry. In this course, we discussed protocol writing, informed consent, clinical data review, cleaning, and assessing side effects using CTCAE. Overall, this course gave me a general idea of what I would be doing as a clinical scientist in the industry

I was given the right guidance on rewriting my resume highlighting all my transferrable skills from my previous roles. Within a few days of applying to jobs I started getting interviews. I had several mock interviews where I understood what kind of questions to expect and the best way to approach those questions. This preparation boosted my confidence in attending the interviews and helped me successfully land a clinical scientist position.
